    Description

Saint Gallen - Abbey. Beda Angehrn Taler 1780-B MS65 NGC, KM34, Dav-1779, HMZ-2-867e. Lettered edge. Very rare in this gem state, and the only example certified above the choice level by either major grading service. Lightly olive-toned throughout and tinged with iridescence over highly lustrous surfaces, this impressive taler will fairly confer a measure of bragging rights to its future owner. We note a slight edge defect at 12 o'clock on the rim, although the overall preservation of the coin speaks against this being a mount removal.
