Description

Vaud silver 10 Batzen 1823, KM-19, MS66 NGC, a wonderful coin, glowing silvery luster with golden hues of iridescence, evenly distributed on both sides, sparkling almost mirrored fields, fully struck with literally jumbo denticles on both sides, a few stray field abrasions. One of only 6,198 minted, just in this one year. Just think: while new patriots were plowing the mud in Kentucky in buckskin flipflops, the Swiss were actually spending coins that looked like this!

Metal: Silver
Mintage: 6,198
