1865 Three Cent Nickel, MS65
First Year of Coinage
1865 3CN MS65 PCGS. There is slight evidence of die doubling
on this Gem first-year three cent nickel piece that features light
clash marks and minor obverse die cracks. This Gem has frosty light
gray luster and hints of champagne toning. PCGS has certified 71
finer examples of this issue (2/24).Ex: Central States Signature (Heritage, 4/2009), lot 7496.(Registry values: N991)
