1869 3CN MS66+ PCGS. CAC. Struck from heavily clashed dies, as is typical of this type in general. Frosty, luminous mint luster adorns each side, yielding subtle iridescence throughout otherwise silver-gray patina. No abrasions detract from the eye appeal, and only a touch of strike softness appears in the central reverse, affecting the left two Is of the Roman numeral III. Only a single higher-grade coin is reported. Population: 34 in 66 (2 in 66+), 1 finer. CAC: 25 in 66, 0 finer (3/24).(Registry values: N1793)
