1872 MS 66 NGC. A superb, fully frosty specimen that is fully bright and untoned over both sides. MS 66 three-cent nickels of any date are certainly a noteworthy type coin, but for an 1872 the grade takes on particular importance, as this is the finest example thus far certified by NGC (1/96).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2757, PCGS# 3738, GSID# 2774)
