1873 3CN Closed 3 MS66 PCGS. This Premium Gem three cent nickel displays a sharp strike, and has nickel-gray color with subtle powder-blue undertones and vibrant luster. The surfaces are unabraded, although a few tiny, light flecks are noted over each side. The Closed 3 variety represent a minority of the total annual production (390,000 Closed 3 pieces versus 783,000 Open 3 coins).
