1881 3CN MS66 PCGS. CAC. This outstanding Premium Gem is lustrous and virtually untoned. The strike is unimprovable, and there is no indication of contact. The 8s in the date are lightly repunched. The mintage of three cent nickels soared in 1881, then returned to token levels for the remainder of the series.
