1882 3CN MS65 PCGS. CAC. A low-mintage issue amounting to only 22,000 pieces near the tail end of the series' run. Most examples of the 1882 three cent nickel are well-circulated. This Gem shows a filled 2 in the date, suggesting an early die state. Untoned and extremely well-preserved surfaces seem close to a higher grade. Population: 19 in 65, 20 finer (12/15). The sole CAC example in this grade.(Registry values: N1793)
