Dazzling MS66 ★ 1882 Three Cent Nickel
1882 3CN MS66 ★ NGC. Only 22,200 business strikes were produced of this scarce issue, and proofs are more frequently encountered in high grades. This is a superlative example with mildly prooflike fields and only a hint of gold toning. Well struck aside from the dentils. The only business strike 1882 to receive a Star designation from NGC (4/09).Ex: Baltimore Signature (Heritage, 7/2003), lot 5913, which realized $2,760.(Registry values: N1793)
