Description

1883 Three Cent Nickel, MS64
CAC Approved in a First Gen. Holder

1883 3CN MS64 PCGS. CAC. The enticingly low mintage of 4,000 circulation strikes contributes to the overall scarcity of the 1883 three cent nickel, and Mint State coins like the present with CAC endorsement are rare in all grades. This Choice example yields delicate champagne color over softly frosted mint luster, with bold definition throughout. A few pepper specks appear on the upper obverse. Housed in a first generation "rattler" holder. Population: 8 in 64, 25 finer. CAC: 2 in 64, 10 finer (3/24).(Registry values: N1793)
