1887/6 3CN FS-301 MS62 PCGS. Although the Guide Book suggests that all 1887/6 overdates are proofs, this circulation-strike shows faint traces of a previous 6 under the 7, as reported in The Cherrypickers' Guide. With a small production of 5,000 coins, it is possible that all circulation strike examples are from these dies. A blush of gold toning visits the satin surfaces of this lustrous light gray example that is housed in a green label PCGS holder.
