    Unsurpassed 1881 Three Cent Nickel

1881 3CN MS67 ★ NGC. A decision was made in 1881 to dramatically increase the production of Three Cent Nickels, but despite a mintage of over one million pieces, relatively few Gems survive and Superb pieces are almost never seen. This delicately tinted example displays luxuriant luster and excellent highpoint definition. Ice-blue, rose, and antique-gold hues are included on each side. This is the single finest specimen thus far certified by NGC, PCGS has only seen seven, with none finer at either service (4/05).(#3749) (Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 22NT, PCGS# 3749)

    Weight: 1.94 grams

    Metal: 75% Copper, 25% Nickel
