1851 3CS MS66 PCGS. FS-001. Faint gold color enriches this lustrous premium Gem. The strike is good although not razor-sharp. The 18 in the date is nicely repunched. The first year of the type, introduced to replace half dimes and other silver coins that had left circulation due to their rising bullion value.
