Description

1853 3CS MS65 PCGS. This highly lustrous stone-gray Gem appears pristine. A couple of stars lack full detail, but the strike is generally crisp. The fields display an orange peel texture, as made from worn dies. Production was undoubtedly rushed to replace hoarded Seated coinage.(Registry values: N1793)
