Description

Lustrous MS65 1855 Type Two Three Cent Silver

1855 3CS MS65 NGC. Second year of the short-lived Type Two design and a worthy coin to acquire for type purposes. This is an impressive example that is mostly brilliant except for a faint bit of peripheral golden color around each side. Each side is sharply struck, and the only ripple in the fabric of the coin is pronounced die clash marks in the fields on each side. Census: 10 in 65, 6 finer (4/09).(Registry values: N4719)
