Description

Bold 1856 Silver Three Cent Piece, MS65

1856 3CS MS65 NGC. A lustrous and well preserved cream-gray Gem. Sharply struck on the major devices; softness is noted on the peripheral elements. A few interesting die lines intersect near the shield border, and clashmarks occur on the reverse. Quite scarce at the MS65 level, and in demand as a high grade example of the scarce Type Two design. Census: 14 in 65, 4 finer (2/10).
