1858 3CS MS67 NGC. The 1858 was the final silver three cent piece with a mintage of more than 1 million coins (about 1.6 million pieces). Mint State examples are plentiful through MS64, but are scarce finer; in MS67, the date is conditionally rare. This Superb Gem representative displays satiny luster beneath mottled shades of rose, gold, and sea-green toning. Moderately well-struck, but a trifle weak on the high points of the shield.
