Low-Mintage Wartime Issue

1865 3CS MS64+ PCGS. A Plus-graded Choice specimen of this scarce Civil War issue, from a business-strike mintage of 8,000 pieces. This coin exhibits sharply detailed design elements throughout and the well-preserved surfaces are enhanced by shades of greenish-gold and cerulean-blue toning, with most of the color on the reverse. Vibrant satiny mint luster is evident on both sides. Population: 19 in 64 (1 in 64+), 28 finer (7/17).(Registry values: N1793)
