1870 Three Cent Silver, MS65
Low-Mintage Late-Series Issue
1870 3CS MS65 NGC. CAC. This is a great-looking Gem example
of this late-series three cent silver, struck in the amount of only
3,000 pieces. There is little post-Mint contact evident, although
each side is noticeably clashed, a common occurrence in the series.
The frosty surfaces are untoned and attractive overall, despite a
touch of strike softness on the central reverse. Census: 9 in 65, 6
