1871 3CS MS66 NGC. One of the final silver three cent pieces, the 1871 has a low mintage of just 2,400 coins. Deeply mirrored fields are apparent beneath the dramatic violet and crimson toning that encircles the lightly frosted devices. The centers are a little soft, but the rest of the details are powerfully impressed. Census: 34 in 66, 20 finer (7/08).(Registry values: N2998)
