Description

1872 Three Cent Silver, MS64
Low-Mintage Issue With Reflective Fields

1872 3CS MS64 PCGS. CAC. Undoubtedly because of the low mintage of only 1,000 business strikes most 1872 three cent silver pieces are first-strike coins. As such, a coin such as this one shows the polished brightness in the fields that never wore away from repeated strikings. Each side displays an intermingling of rose and deep blue toning. A bit softly struck, as one would expect from a business strike. Population: 7 in 64, 6 finer (8/10).(Registry values: N1793)
