Description

1872 Three Cent Silver, MS66
Prooflike Surfaces, Iridescent Toning
CAC Endorsed

1872 3CS MS66★ NGC. CAC. The majority of three cent silver pieces coined after 1862 were proofs, while the scarce business strikes combine low mintages with low survival rates, creating important rarities in the series. This 1872 Premium Gem displays prooflike surfaces harboring intense blue and iridescent toning and brilliant luster. Although the NGC holder lacks the prooflike designation, it does award the important Star designation and CAC endorsement reinforces the high visual and technical quality.
