Description

NGC 1858 MS 67. An awe-inspiring, untoned example that is made even more eye appealing by its heavily frosted devices. The backdrop for these utterly white features are highly lustrous with an almost semi-prooflike sheen and display wispy die polishing on either side. The obverse lettering, as if most often the case with the Type Two design, is a trifle soft. We could hardly imagine a finer, fully brilliant three-cent silver. Population: 4 in 67, none higher.

Weight: 0.75 grams
