    Lightly Toned MS66

    1858 3CS MS66 PCGS. This attractive Premium Gem Type Two three cent offers a lightly mauve-toned obverse, while the reverse adds shades of blue and jade-green. Pristine preservation is the order of the day throughout, and some light die clash marks appear primarily on the left-side obverse. The 1858 was the last of the Type Two issues as well as the last emission of the series exceeding 1 million pieces. Population: 48 in 66 (4 in 66+), 15 finer (9/20).(Registry values: N2998)
