Description

1854-O $3 --Improperly Cleaned--NCS. XF Details. This is the only year the New Orleans Mint produced three dollar gold coins. Fine hairlines are visible under high magnification on the lightly cleaned greenish-gold surfaces of this XF Details specimen. This is a well defined piece except for high-point wear and strike weakness in the hair. Distributed minute marks occur over both sides.
