Always-Popular 1854-O Three Dollar, XF40
1854-O $3 XF40 PCGS. The 1854-O is notable as the only O-mint three dollar, but it is more frequently encountered than one might think. Perhaps the novelty of the denomination was sufficient to induce Southerners to set aside this curious coin as a memento. This piece shows even wear over the high points and lightly abraded surfaces.
