1854-O Three Dollar, XF45
Advanced Die State
1854-O $3 XF45 PCGS. Variety 2. The reverse is lapped in
this late die state, and the current coin also shows a prominent
die crack from the mintmark, through the right ribbon end, to the
dentils at 4 o'clock. The smooth olive-gold surfaces show light
wear and moderate abrasions typical of the grade, but the coin
presents well for the 1854-O, which is a semikey date in the series
and the only one struck at New Orleans.(Registry values: N1793)From The Bob Hastings Collection.
