Description

1855 Three Dollar Gold Piece, MS63
Attractive Prooflike Surfaces

1855 $3 MS63 PCGS. The three dollar gold piece proved unpopular with the public, and mintages were sharply down in 1855. Coins in Select Mint State condition are scarce today, and anything finer is rare. The present coin displays brightly reflective greenish-gold fields and well struck devices. Eye appeal is outstanding. Population: 53 in 63, 23 finer (8/10).(Registry values: N4719)
