1855-S $3 VF35 PCGS. The modest VF35 grade makes this piece
conditionally rare in the opposite sense typically expressed by
that term. Each side is smooth with natural olive-gold patina and
moderate wear. A delightfully problem-free collector coin for this
early San Francisco issue with a mintage of only 6,600
