1855-S $3 XF45 NGC. CAC. A "complete" set of S-mint three dollar gold pieces would include the 1855-S, 1856-S, 1857-S, and 1860-S, unless one were to decide to try to lure the unique 1870-S away from the trustees of the Bass Foundation Collection. This Choice XF 1855-S three dollar gold shows lovely yellow-gold color with a lack of singular contact.
