Description

1860 Three Dollar, AU55
Problem-Free, Significant Luster Remaining

1860 $3 AU55 PCGS. CAC. The 1860 three dollar is a moderately available date in circulated grades, and the pre-Civil War date makes it a popular issue for collectors. Slight friction is seen over the high points of the design and in the fields, but significant mint luster remains around the devices on each side. The orange-gold surfaces are minimally abraded, but a loupe reveals a couple of small, shallow planchet flakes on the cheek of Liberty.
