Borderline Uncirculated 1860 Three Dollar
1860 $3 AU58 NGC. Light wear on the wreath and hair confirm the grade, but luster dominates the reverse as well as the obverse periphery. No marks are of any import. Although the three dollar gold series began with reasonable mintages, by 1860 Philadelphia issued only 7,036 pieces, only a tiny fraction of its gold dollar production.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25ME, PCGS# 7980, GSID# 8633)
