Green Label Holder
1862 $3 AU58 PCGS. From a mintage of only 5,750 pieces, the
1862 three dollar gold issue is scarce in Mint State and even in
the upper AU grades. This near-Mint example displays pleasing
orange-gold color with the faintest wear over sharply struck
devices. The wreath bowknot is well defined. The fields are subtly
reflective, with minimal chatter. Housed in a generation 3.1 green
