Description

1862 $3 XF40 PCGS. Struck during the early part of the Civil War, the 1862 three dollar piece is an important rarity in the series. Only 5,750 were struck and few of those survive today. This example shows modest wear as the grade suggests. Light yellow surfaces show a hint of green, and traces of luster remain in the protected areas.(Registry values: N1793)
