Description

1866 Three Dollar, AU58
Midas-Gold Luster

1866 $3 AU58 PCGS. The Civil War had completely concluded in 1866, and the dwindling mintage of three dollar coins would swell to an even 4,000 pieces. Frosted honey-gold luster adorns this example. The coin is well-struck with some minor abrasions along Liberty's cheek and just right of the wreath's ribbons. PCGS Population: 30 in 58 (1 in 58+), 49 finer (3/26).(Registry values: N1793)
