Low-Mintage 1868 Three Dollar, MS62
1868 $3 MS62 NGC. The low-mintage 1868 three dollar (4,850 circulation strikes) is found mostly in circulated grades, and has perhaps fewer than 100 pieces in Mint State, mostly MS60 to MS62. Peach and yellow-gold lustrous surfaces exhibit sharply struck motifs. A few obverse handling marks preclude a higher grade. Census: 24 in 62, 15 finer (8/07).From The Diemer L.
