1869 $3 -- Cleaned -- PCGS Genuine. Unc Details....
Description
1869 Three Dollar, Unc Details
Scarce Date; Mintage of Just 2,500
1869 $3 -- Cleaned -- PCGS Genuine. Unc Details. Yellow-gold
surfaces contain a healthy dose of reflectivity in the fields,
complementing its lustrous surfaces. Moderate hairlines led PCGS to
append the Cleaned designation to the end of the Mint State grade.
While the 1869 is a bit more common than the 1858, 1864, and 1867
issues with comparable mintages (2,500 for the present issue), it
is on par with the more well-known rarities like 1855-S and 1871.
Mint State examples like the present offering are particularly
scarce, despite the cleaning.
