Charming 1874 Three Dollar, AU58
1874 $3 AU58 NGC. The 1874 is an excellent year for a type collector because of its relatively high mintage of 41,800 pieces, which allows examples to be purchased at a fairly affordable price. Bright yellow-gold patina drapes both sides of this resplendent specimen. Although the highpoints show light rub, bright mint luster dominates the remarkably clean surfaces. Well-struck except for a small area of the wreath to the right of the bow.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25MX, PCGS# 7998, GSID# 8647)
