pieces, the fourth largest of the series, the 1874 three dollar
gold piece is an available date and a popular type coin. The
present coin is an attractive Select example, with bright surfaces
and a few insignificant handling marks in the fields. The striking
details are typical for the issue, with just a touch of softness on
