1878 $3 MS64 NGC. CAC. Well-defined with strong and swirling luster. Both sides have light yellow-gold surfaces with just a few scattered, wispy marks on each side. The 1878 is the latest among three dates commonly collected for type purposes, and it is available for a price in MS64, though such coins are rarely so appealing as the one seen here.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25MZ, PCGS# 8000, GSID# 8649)
