1878 Three Dollar Gold, MS64
A Terrific Type Coin
1878 $3 MS64 NGC. CAC. The 1878 is the last of the trio of
great high-mintage type coins within the Indian Princess three
dollar gold series, along with the 1854 and 1874. The sumptuous,
coruscating luster on this piece is typical for the issue. The
coloration is yellow-gold with glints of pink in the crevices,
adding to the appeal, and there are no mentionable signs of
