Charming MS64 1879 Three Dollar
1879 $3 MS64 NGC. Following the mammoth mintage of 1878, the three dollar gold piece slipped back into its low-mintage ways in 1879. This near-Gem from the latter issue has characteristically reflective luster in parts of the pale yellow-gold fields. Excellent detail on Liberty's hair.
