Description

1879 $3 MS64 NGC. This is a pretty three dollar gold piece with gorgeous rose and iridescent toning over fully reflective fields and lustrous devices. Only 3,000 of these coins were minted in 1879, and survivors are infrequently encountered in higher grades. This piece exhibits outstanding eye appeal. NGC has only certified 20 finer pieces (2/10).
