1880 $3 --Improperly Cleaned--NCS. Unc. Details. Among the lowest mintage dates with a tiny commercial emission of 1,000 pieces, one-third of the 1879 production. By 1880, Philadelphia-area dealers were setting examples aside, but the date is nonetheless rare.
