    1881 $3 -- Mount Removed -- NGC Details. VF. From a minuscule mintage of 500 pieces, this lightly worn three dollar gold piece shows evidence of use in jewelry on the central obverse, where it was once attached to a mount. The coin retains much interior detail in the reverse devices and the pleasing orange-gold surfaces are lightly abraded.(Registry values: N1793)
