    Description

    1881 Three Dollar Gold, MS64
    Only One Finer at PCGS

1881 $3 MS64 PCGS. CAC. The appeal of the 1881 three dollar issue begins and ends with the mintage: just 500 business strikes. The paltry number gives the date instant appeal in any grade, though it is more accessible than earlier rarities at the various Mint State levels. This is an attractive MS64 coin that adds condition rarity to the low-mintage appeal. Semireflective fields are pale yellow-gold and offer slight contrast with the subtly frosted texture of the well-defined devices. The coin is minimally marked and would make an excellent addition to a specialized series collection. Population: 6 in 64, 1 finer (7/14).
    From The Pannonia Collection.(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 25N4, PCGS# 8003)

    Weight: 5.02 grams

    Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
