    Description

    1882 Three Dollar Gold, MS63
    Reflective Fields, Sharp Devices

1882 $3 MS63 PCGS. A collectible, low-mintage issue from the later portion of this popular series. Most 1882 three dollar gold pieces exhibit prooflike fields, as the dies were not used long enough to fully erase the initial polish of the fields (only 1,500 pieces were struck). This Select example is deeply reflective with natural honey-gold and peach-orange hues. The strike is sharp, and the devices have attractive, frosty luster. Population: 43 in 63, 37 finer (10/19).(Registry values: N2998)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25N5, PCGS# 8004)
