Description

1886 $3 AU55 ICG. The three dollar gold denomination continued its death spiral through the 1880s, and in 1886, the business strike mintage was just 1,000 pieces. This Choice AU example shows reflective yellow-orange surfaces with minor highpoint wear and a degree of haze in the fields. Minimally marked and pleasing.(Registry values: N1793)
