Shining MS62 1889 Three Dollar
1889 $3 MS62 NGC. Gleaming yellow-gold surfaces show occasional lemon accents. The strike is generally pleasing, though a number of wispy abrasions are noted in the fields. High eye appeal for the grade. The 1889 has long enjoyed popularity as the last of the three dollar gold pieces, aided by a business strike mintage of only 2,300 coins.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25NC, PCGS# 8011, GSID# 8660)
