1889 $3 --Reverse Scratched--NCS. AU Details. A popular final-year type coin. Pleasing olive-gold patina covers both sides, which are surprisingly clean save for a shallow scratch on the left side of the reverse. Although this mark keeps this piece from an NGC holder, it is not as bothersome as one might expect. (Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25NC, PCGS# 8011, GSID# 8660)
